Sulook ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, CV/resume content, education history, work experience, career milestones, profile photographs, and any other information you choose to share.

We also collect information automatically when you use the Platform, including device information, IP address, browser type, operating system, usage patterns, and interaction data.

If you sign in through a third-party service (Google or Apple), we receive basic profile information as permitted by your account settings with that provider.

We use your information to provide and improve the Platform, including: creating and managing your account; parsing and analyzing your CV to extract career milestones; matching you with mentors or mentees; enabling companies to discover graduate candidates; sending you notifications about your account, matches, and platform updates; and improving the Platform's features and performance.

We process your data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in providing career mentoring services.

Sulook uses artificial intelligence to parse CVs, suggest career milestones, and generate mentor interview kits. Mentor-mentee matching itself is not generative AI: it is an automated scoring formula based on skills, field, language, location, availability, mentor track record, and verification trust. Your CV and profile data may be processed by third-party AI service providers.

Before any of your data reaches an AI service, personal information such as your name and contact details is replaced with placeholders. AI-generated suggestions and verifications are clearly labeled on the Platform, and you maintain the right to review, correct, or reject any AI-generated content associated with your profile.

We do not use your data to train any AI model. AI processing is limited to providing you with personalized career guidance within the Platform.

We share your information with: mentors or mentees you are matched with (limited to your profile information); companies using our talent portal, who can see your profile and skills information, and, after they reveal a profile, your full contact details (a graduate must opt in before their contact details can be revealed, and can withdraw that consent at any time in their profile settings); service providers who assist in operating the Platform (Supabase for data hosting, Sentry for error tracking, PostHog for analytics, Resend for transactional email, and other service providers who support Platform operations); and AI service providers for CV parsing and career analysis.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent for data processing; request a copy of your data by contacting us; and object to certain processing of your data.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience, analyze usage patterns, and personalize content. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function. Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the Platform.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
